I call up information technology was about 10 years ago or more on a trip back to Jersey that you turned me on to Fuller'due south playing in G, Frank. And so when I got dwelling house I culled out all the songs he played in G and settled on this one for the guitar office. Pretty similar to "Wires all Downward" but a footling more developed maybe. For instance the nifty picayune phrase he plays in the seventh bar of the 2nd poesy. Then once more it's a little more controlled and non and then edgy. But the lyrics of "Wires All Downwards" are pretty great. Couldn't find my original transcription and so I did it again.

Screaming and Crying Blues

Solo

Yes I lied down last night laughin', woke upwardly this mornin' screamin' and cryin'
Yes I lied down last dark laughin', woke up this mornin' screamin' and cryin'
Said I was worryin' and grievin', 'bout that girl had washed left me behind

I said she's gone and left me, sick and on my bed
I said she's gone and left me, sick and on my bed
Said and so I didn't have nobody, lord to agree my worried caput

(play it at present, boy, play it for me)
Solo

Says, I don't care when you go mama, don't care how long you stay
I said I don't care when you lot go mama, don't care how long you stay
Said that ol' good kind treatment baby, bring you back home to me some day

-----------

I stole a solo from one of his other songs in K to use equally a full pass outro.

Just new here and I got some lyrics then thought to pitch this in. I could non find whatever on here though know at that place are lots of versions out there. Retrieve this is what Blind Male child Fuller is singin on the only recording I tin can discover and a good showtime anyway; whatsoever additions corrections? Really hard to hear even slowed down.

Truckin Little Baby    Blind Boy Fuller

Got a piddling girl, she lives cross that colina, she ain?t good at cookin, merely I love her all the same
She?s a truckin trivial infant, she?south a truckin? lilliputian baby
She?s a truckin little infant, gonna tell it everywhere I go

Got a daughter, she named Marie, she got practiced jelly, merely she?southward stingy with me
She?s a trucking little baby, she?s a trucking little infant
She?due south a truckin little babe, I?m gonna tell information technology everywhere I get

Suspension..   Yep

Now wake up boys, don?t be no fool, heres? a little girl just dressed for two
She?due south a trucking little baby, she?s a trucking footling babe
She?s a truckin little babe, I?m gonna tell information technology everywhere I go

She?due south long and slim, she?s lean and brown, she can expect upwardly equally long as I tin can expect down
She?south a truckin little baby. She?s a truckin little baby
She?southward a truckin lilliputian baby, I?g gonna tell it everywhere I go

Go out boys, let me shut the door, I gotta truck some before I go
She?due south a truckin little baby, she?s a truckin little baby
She?due south a truckin niggling infant, I?g gonna tell it everywhere I go

Here you boys, cause you lot are my pal, mighty practiced side to advertise your gas
She?south a truckin little baby, she?south a truckin piffling baby
She?s a truckin little baby, I?1000 gonna tell it everywhere I become

Remarks later on the song ?You boys oughta become you a truckin trivial infant?

Says I live downward in death alley mama
Place that I cannot understand
Says I live in death aisle mama
Place that I cant sympathise
The women melt cornbread for their husbands
And save that sour breadstuff for their human

"suitcase home" isn't correct, but I can't quite catch it, it's "skilful something on."

Last verse is

My woman she can't exercise correct, whoa Lord for doing wrong
Says my woman she won't do right, whoa Lord for doing incorrect,
I says when I catch her, she goes in that wagon car.
(I assume he means he's gonna telephone call the police force on her.)

Hello all,
Bullheaded Boy Fuller played "I Crave My Pigmeat" out of G position in standard tuning, utilizing his favorite raggy 16-bar (18 bars with the tag) progression, and he is joined past Bull City Reddish on washboard.  Is there anybody who did this kind of cloth ameliorate than Fuller did?  I'm dubious.  Here is the vocal:

INTRO SOLO

At present, pigmeats that'due south taken today, today, something I do crave
At present, pigmeats that's taken today, today, something I do require
Ash to ashes and dust to dust, show me a woman that a human being tin trust
Pigmeats taken today, today, something I do require, I mean information technology, something I exercise require

Now, pigmeats that'due south taken today, today, is something I do crave, yep!
Pigmeats that's taken today, today, something I exercise crave
Had a little gal, she was little and depression, she used to allow me shake it, but she won't no mo'
Pigmeats taken today, today, something I do crave, I mean it, something I do crave (Spoken: Play it for me now!)

SOLO (Spoken: Ah, they taken today.  You know that'southward something I require.  Yes!)

Now, pigmeats taken today, today, something I do crave
Now, pigmeats taken today, today, something I do require
Looked downwards that road, far equally I could meet, the boys had my woman and the blues had me
Pigmeats that's taken today, today, something I practise require, I mean it, something I do crave, yes!

SOLO

At present, pigmeats taken today, today, something I practise require
Now, pigments taken today, today, something I practise crave
Ash to ashes and sand to sand, show me a woman own't got a backdoor man
Pigmeats that's taken today, today, something I do require

All best,
Johnm

Hi all,
Bullheaded Boy Fuller recorded "I'thou A Good Stem Winder" at a session in New York City on Apr half-dozen, 1938.  He played the vocal out of A position in standard tuning.  God, he was skilful--his time, his singing, everything!  Here is "I'm A Expert Stem Winder":

Hi Frankie Windmill:

Start, welcome to Weenie, glad you found u.s.a.. We've got several non-native English speakers in the group, no need to feel alone.

Our usual process is to post the lyrics that we practice have then far, and other members help make full in the blanks. If yous read through earlier pages on this thread yous'll find plenty of other examples.
