Beef and Vegetable Pan Fried Noodle

These beef pan fried noodles are such a hitting both at dwelling, and away camping ground! They are delicious, pretty salubrious and set up in no fourth dimension.

Oh how I love quick and easy one- pot meals!

Non only are they great when we're both home late and need a meal to be on the tabular array PRONTO!

But I too rely on ane-pot meals when we're off camping in our campervans. No i likes washing up in a business firm, with running hot water. Washing up becomes a whole 'nother story when you're in a VW camper with no sink or tap!

So permit me walk you through my newest 1-pot creation. And I practice hope you dearest information technology too!

How to Brand Beef Pan Fried Noodles

one/ prep your veggies

Equally this dish cooks so apace, get everything cut up and ready before y'all even plow the heat on. It'll brand for a much smoother and less stressful cooking feel!

2/ prep the steak

Using a sharp knife, remove any thick chunks of fat or chewy looking pieces from the steak. A pocket-size corporeality of fat being left on is platonic, equally fat = season!

Very thinly slice the steak 'confronting the grain'.

This simply means you're cutting against the structure of the flesh, ensuring each bite will be tender and not chewy.

3/ rut your pan & oil

When I'g cooking a stir fry I always similar to heat the empty pan up first.

And then, when I'g fix to start cooking, I add together the oil, then immediately add the onion also.

Let the onion stir fry for a few minutes, then add together in the garlic.

Proceed stirring it to avoid it burning.

Side by side, add in the 'straight to wok' noodles…

Along with the say sauce and stir well for as long equally the noodle packet recommends cooking them for.

When all is piping hot and cooked through, remove the stir fry into bowls, keeping them warm whilst y'all cook the steak.

iv/ pan fry the steak

Add the 2d lot of oil to the pan and spread around and so it's evenly covered.

Lay the pieces of steak into the hot oil, in an even layer. Flavour the top of the steak strips with the salt.

Leave for around threescore seconds, so nudge with your spatula. If the steak comes abroad easily from the pan it is fix to turn and cook the second side. If it sticks to the pan wait some other 30 seconds or so and repeat until it does come away easily.

to melt the noodles

  • i tbsp oil
  • 1 blood-red onion – thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves – minced
  • 300 g fresh noodles – Fresh or 'straight-to-wok'. Two servings. If using stale noodles, precook/presoak kickoff
  • i tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 spring onions – thinly piece the light-green part and save to scatter over the cooked dish. Chop the white parts and add together to the pan whilst the noodles are cooking
  • ane red chilli – piece half into thin rings and salvage for the cease of the cooking time. Finely chop the other half and add to the pan whilst the noodles are cooking

to cook the steak

  • i tsp oil
  • 250 g steak – One steak will feed ii people. I used a sirloin but you could use a fillet, rump or any other quick cooking steak. Remove any rind or tough bits and slice the steak confronting the grain into thin strips
  • one tsp table salt
  1. Prep all the veggies and steak earlier starting to melt.

  2. Preheat a frying pan or skillet over a medium high heat.

  3. Add the oil, and so the onion and stir fry for a few minutes.

  4. Add together in the garlic, stirring quickly, so follow with the 'straight to wok' noodles.

  5. Pour in the soy sauce, the light-green parts of the spring onions and the chilli slices. Stir fry for a couple more minutes, and then dish up between 2 bowls and keep warm.

  6. Add the second measure of oil to the hot pan, then lay out the steak strips in an fifty-fifty layer.

    Season the top of them by handful with the table salt.
